Meet the Founders behind the new platform seeking out customer & employee loyalty
Neha and Ashley are two young, motivated and intelligent women. Their new platform is on a mission to uncover the path to customer and employee loyalty. Winning Interactions recognizes winning customer service experiences and showcases businesses that are able to do so both on and offline.
“It all started a couple of months ago with an idea to feature local businesses in a positive light. We wanted to highlight positivity that could really help make someone’s day,” explains Neha. This is something that consumers are on the hunt for every single day. Good customer service is hard to come by and out of this world customer service almost doesn’t exist at times. Neha and Ashley are putting their heads together to help change this for consumers.
“There are so many people out there that want to spend their money where they will be valued at. We’ve heard repeatedly that Vancouver is an unfriendly city, which I couldn’t believe, as I know I’ve worked with some great people. We’re proud that we’ve been able to create this platform that represents, which business are going above and beyond to create those winning interactions and showcase our city in a positive light,” explains Ashley.
Both Neha and Ashley are full-time business students at UBC Sauder School of Business. They’ve become best friends who share a common interest and passion. “We don’t have a traditional work day. Skyping each other at two in the morning is normal. It’s all about finding that time we can devote to the business we love even if it seems out of the norm,” explains Ashley. As both women continue to finish their final semesters, run their new business and maintain other jobs, they have some great advice for other female entrepreneurs out there.
Neha’s tip: Your potential business partner
“I knew that I wanted to have a business partner who would be on the same page as me. I wanted the right support network and always thought that person needed to be someone who was completely different than me or with a different skill set. It doesn’t matter though. It comes down to having the same desire, craziness and end goal as you!”
Ashley’s tip: Just do it!
“If someone told me that I was going to own my very own business, I wouldn’t have believed them. If you have that glimmer of desire to do something for yourself, you should just tackle it. If you need support find someone, make a plan and just do it! What’s the worst that could happen?”
Neha and Ashley attended Pink Tank’s signature event called #NextGen this past year. This event brings together university students and female entrepreneurs within the city. It features a handful of businesswomen who speak about “If I Knew Then What I Know Now.” Neha and Ashley were sitting in the audience for this event. They both left with a newfound inspiration and looked at each other and said, “What are we waiting for?” It was that moment where Winning Interactions was born and Pink Tank is so happy to have helped sparked that inspiration for this duo!
